To celebrate World Red Cross Day on 8 May and to mark the important milestone of the 70th Anniversary of Hong Kong Red Cross Youth, we will present a three-day public event from 8 to 10 May 2026. Under the theme “Together with Youth, Live out Humanity,” the event invites the public to step into the world of Red Cross Youth, experience how humanitarian values are passed on through generations of young people, and look ahead to the future together.

With the theme of people on the move, the event invites families and the public to step into their stories through immersive, interactive experiences, gain insight into the challenges they face, and explore the meaning of humanitarian values and human dignity together.

To raise public awareness and deepen understanding of humanitarian challenges faced by displaced individuals around the world and in Hong Kong, the Humanitarian Education & Volunteer Development Service of the Hong Kong Red Cross (HKRC) will organise “Who is on the Move?” Humanitarian Education Interactive Experiential Day. The event will feature interactive detective games, story exploration, game booths and workshops, guiding different families & individuals into the stories of POM to understand their challenges and difficulties from the interactive experience.

The Humanitarian Education & Volunteer Development Service of the Hong Kong Red Cross (HKRC) is pleased to invite you to join our upcoming events under the People on the Move (POM) Advocacy Campaign. HE Online Talk Series: Respect for the POM from Humanitarian Perspective invites speaker from local organization supporting local POM to share the reasons behind, as well as their current situations and challenges in Hong Kong while our HKRC staff and volunteer will provide an overview of the global displacement landscape and the support services offered by the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement around the world. Together, we will explore the stories of POM through a humanitarian lens.
