Hong Kong Red Cross hosted “Smart Planning for Life’s Chapters: The Power of Wills and Enduring Power of Attorney” free seminar on 10 September 2025. Mr. Gilbert Mo, BBS, Former Deputy Law Draftsman and Vice Chairperson of the HKRC Governance and Sustainability Committee, was invited as a speaker and he shared the legal implications and practical applications of wills and EPAs in an accessible way, using current affairs to enhance understanding. He encouraged the public to plan ahead to safeguard their wishes. Participants were excited and expressed that the seminar is insightful and beneficial.

The Hong Kong Red Cross held an online talk on April 16, 2025, titled "Travel Safety Essential: How to Protect Yourself During a Disaster While Traveling? Disaster Preparedness Guidelines." The talk shared knowledge on how to respond to various disasters encountered during travel, as well as the corresponding protections offered by travel insurance. The goal is to minimize disaster-related injuries and heighten our preparedness.

As of today, there are 44 countries and regions experiencing humanitarian crisis due to natural calamities or conflicts, with hundreds of millions of people in urgent need of humanitarian assistance. To assist these affected communities, Hong Kong Red Cross (HKRC) has deployed volunteers and staff to provide emergency medical support and humanitarian assistance in Gaza, Afghanistan, and Syria. Upon their return, they were cordially invited to share their experiences and reflections with HKRC staff and volunteers.

The Hong Kong Red Cross Donor Award Ceremony 2024 was successfully held on Saturday, November 9, 2024. In addition to the commendations, volunteers and beneficiaries were arranged to share their experience and stories, allowing attendees to understand how their generous donations have helped the vulnerable communities in society.

HKRC organized a site visit on the theme of "Care for Present. Plan for Future” on October 29 and 31, 2024, inviting Dr. Pasu Ng, the founder of "Keep It Simple”, embalmer & reconstructor and life and death education consultant, to deliver the information of Pre-planning Funeral Service and Life Story of late-life care.

The event is presented in the form of an interactive educational theater format, where parents and children become climate migrants in highly realistic settings, guided by professional actors to experience the challenges brought by climate change.
