Thumbnail Sharing on global humanitarian crisis by HKRC
As of today, there are 44 countries and regions experiencing humanitarian crisis due to natural calamities or conflicts, with hundreds of millions of people in urgent need of humanitarian assistance. To assist these affected communities, Hong Kong Red Cross (HKRC) has deployed volunteers and staff to provide emergency medical support and humanitarian assistance in Gaza, Afghanistan, and Syria. Upon their return, they were cordially invited to share their experiences and reflections with HKRC staff and volunteers.

The Hong Kong Red Cross Donor Award Ceremony 2024 was successfully held on Saturday, November 9, 2024. In addition to the commendations, volunteers and beneficiaries were arranged to share their experience and stories, allowing attendees to understand how their generous donations have helped the vulnerable communities in society.

The event is presented in the form of an interactive educational theater format, where parents and children become climate migrants in highly realistic settings, guided by professional actors to experience the challenges brought by climate change.

HKRC organized a seminar on the theme of "Care for Present. Plan for Future” on September 7 and 11, 2024, aim to let caregivers understand the importance of making good life plans for the care recipients in their later years, and at the same time, learn practical knowledge and become a healthy self-help caregiver. More than 230 people were attended in 2 seminars.
