Talk on “Policy Donation and Legacy Giving”

To enhance public's understanding on Policy Donation and Legacy Giving, Hong Kong Red Cross again hosted a talk about “Policy Donation and Legacy Giving” on 24 September. The session was held concurrently both online and onsite at the Hong Kong Red Cross Headquarters. Besides having a lawyer from to explain the will drafting process, we have also invited the senior insurance consultant from the Lifecare Movement to introduce more about policy donation, thus encouraging the public to contribute by donating part or all of their insurance premium to charities and extending their love and care to the next generation.

The session began by Ms. Ryanne Lai introducing the key steps of drafting a will as well as sharing several touching stories from the donors. Mr. Garry Chan then shared about the ideals and potentials of "Policy Donation”. Simply by switching the beneficiary, the insured individuals can donate the life insurance death benefits to charitable organizations. Ms. Susanna Chan also went through with the attendees some frequently asked questions about "Policy Donation”. The sharing session ended on a high note, with attendees actively engaged in the Q&A session.
