Hong Kong Red Cross Services Sharing 2022

Holding the belief that “Every One Matters”, Hong Kong Red Cross as a humanitarian action platform has been continuously offering humanitarian support and services to the society since its establishment in 1950. Besides providing services to the needy, HKRC also values deeply the feedback from various communities. To that, the“Hong Kong Red Cross Services Sharing 2022” was held on 27 November at the Hong Kong Red Cross Headquarters, during which HKRC representatives shared with the general public in person the diversified services offered by HKRC in the past one year during the 5th Wave of Covid-19.

 

Agenda:

  • Report on the donation applications and service development in 2021/2022
  • Sharing by volunteers and staffs of the COVID19 Support Hotline
  • Tour of the “Every One Matters” Photo Exhibition and “Humanity Wall”
Ms. Alice Ling, HKRC Director, shared more information and stories on donations usage. Ms. Cindy Ho (Senior Resource Development Manager and emcee of the event), Ms. Cardry Chan (Manager - Community Resilience), and Ms. Manie Wong (Deputy Manager - Local Disaster Relief) proceeded to talk about HKRC’s local disaster relief and preparedness efforts. We have also invited several volunteers to share their experience when servicing the COVID-19 Support Hotline. An emergency kit with supplies and tips on disaster preparedness was gifted to each attendee. The attendees showed interest and actively engaged in the discussion. After the sharing session, the attendees were given a tour of the “Every One Matters” Photo Exhibition and “Humanity Wall” by HKRC representatives.
